Shane Carwin shows off his vertical, this time not on hurdles

Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Interim Heavyweight Champion Shane Carwin has always worked on his explosiveness by routinely clearing entire rows of hurdles with both feet blasting off the ground, or wrestling mats, at the same time.

In fact, in the past he has made a habit out of working on skills like this just during his lunch break from his day jobShane Carwin shooting some hoops as a water engineer in Weld County, Colo., by working out at the University of Northern Colorado‘s wrestling room.

On Cinco de Mayo, Carwin was once again showing off his hops at the UNC gym, but this time on the basketball floor.

We have already seen the Denver Broncos‘ Knowshon Moreno flashing his basketball skills this off-season and fellow Broncos teammate Ryan Clady has notably been sidelined after he partially tore his patella tendon while shooting some hoops. So Colorado sports fans, do you think Carwin should put the basketball down and still to medicine balls? Or would you like to see the most explosive man in the UFC dunk one down over Kobe Bryant?

Either way, lets all just hope Colorado’s champ is 100 percent healthy come July 3 when he tries to unify the UFC Heavyweight belt against current Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at UFC 116: Lesnar vs. Carwin.

You be the judge!
